I just start to learning the diatonic harmonica, Golden Melody is the one for me.
When I see it, my mind always goes back to the old days: the summer is hot, the cornfields are endless and the rural dirt roads stretch to the horizon, the bus will raise a lot of dust when it passes by, and a person will rest under a big tree to enjoy the coolness,At this time, the country music will drift away with my thoughts, and finally everything will disappear like smoke in the dazzling sunlight...…
I don\'t know why, the Golden Melody makes me feel warm and always gives me this kind of picture and feeling, as if my soul lives in the countryside and fields and has never left...…

The old Golden Melody is so much better than the new version, I was really happy to find one here on Harmonicaland.

Sad to see them go. I will have to get some of the new compact sounding GM\'s.

I want to try to get all 12 before there all gone forever. I like how comfortable they are on the mouth side to sides being rounded. Also I like the power that the closed in cover plates provide.

Harp played great - couldn\'t find one in D anywhere else, I guess because they are transitioning to the new version. Not happy paying double the normal price, but I have purchased these before and had them arrive w/ defects, and this one was good.

The harmonica is great perfect for clean clear single notes. The service was up to my expectations as usual.

Not being fond of the new Golden Melody, I purchased a few of the old style while I could still get them.

Great tone and beginners should start with the key of C so I got one and it is nice

Everything works well - no dead holes and a nice sound with smooth feel on the mouth.

Replaced my current harp of choice, Golden Melody - came on time. Plays great. (a harp player of 3 decades) - use it for hard blues but can also follow fast fiddle tunes.

Sweet is the best descriptor I can find for the sound of this harmonica. Easy to play, sounds great. Have a C, needed a G.

Good harmonica overall I feel that the covers are not as smooth as my Harmo Polar, nice tone.

I'm disappointed with the golden melody model. I should have stayed with the marine band.

Since I frequently play with horns, a Bb harmonica with equal tempered tuning is a necessity. The Golden Melody is one of my favorite models, and I own other Hohners, plus Suzukis, Seydels and Easttops. No wonder it's been a favorite of professionals, from Howard Levy to Buddy Green.. I own a half dozen Golden Melodies in various keys, and my collection keeps growing. It has a clear, clean and very beautiful voice.

I bought this to play one song in particular (Michael Jackson's Say Say Say) and have trouble finding the low Ab note. I have to play it an octave higher.

Cool color, bigger comb feels good to handle, not too airthight though but the Golden Melody Hohner is a pretty good harmonica for the price you pay here.

The Golden Melody is one of my favorite harp because of the round and unique shape, feels good and sounds round with a great bottom end. Appreciated the fast shipping as well.

The number one hole needs the reed adjusted very hard to get a note out of it.
