Named after the famous harmonica player Lee Oskar from War.

The Major Diatonic harmonica is the most commonly used tuning for playing Blues Rock Country Folk & Jazz.

Major Diatonic harps are produced by several manufacturers using various names such as Blues Harp Marine Band Golden Melody Big River Special 20 Pro Harp Folk Master Star Performer etc.

Although the cover plates are stamped with a variety of different names for marketing purposes all of these harmonicas have the exact same notation layout as the Lee Oskar Major Diatonic.

The most important difference is in the quality of materials construction design and sound. Lee Oskars are the best harmonicas in the world and that's not just our opinion.

Robert M. on 2021-09-04 I have a Horner Melody Maker and a Horner's blues harp. Both great harmonicas with a completely different sound. I love the way the Oscar sounds. Depends on your skill level and your taste, how you want your heart to sound. Love the Oscar.

Better build than the other harmonicas
Tom M. on 2021-05-20 First think I noticed is the weight of this instrument is more than the other less priced ones. And, it is heavy duty built! That means that the reeds will hold tune longer! This harmonica should be sold as "heavy duty" instrument!
Great products and services
James U. on 2021-05-10 Love my new harmonica. Good service, good price, good selection. Thanks.

product
Bruce H. on 2020-12-15 I have found Lee Oskar to be my preferred brand, it is an excellent product
Oskar is just ok
Mike M. on 2020-11-24 I have been playing this for almost a week and even though I’m relatively new at it a bit disappointed with the Lee Oskar. Out of the box the scales played well (C) but the ten hole no matter if it’s a light blow or draw rarely sounds out a stable not, more of a screech. I realize that it is the highest note but some songs need you play it. Then a few days later the seven hole went flat on the draw again without me honking on the harp. After giving it a solid blow it came loose and is ok now. Really looked forward to playing this but having a hard time liking it. Fit and finish are good but I guess I was spoiled by the Harmo Polar purchased from Harmonicaland. I may get another set of reed plates and give that a shot but being new shouldn’t have to do that.
You need this! Amazing Blues Sound!
James S. on 2020-09-28 I bought this for my 12 year old’s birthday! and he went absolutely nuts! He doesn’t know how to play the harmonica and it sounds like he has been playing for years!

Not as good as some other harps
Steven F. on 2020-06-21

The Lee Oskar is still a classic good quality harmonica but I tend to prefer the Harmop Pplar and Crossover over it

Jim
James C. on 2020-06-06 I stepped up from hohner a while back. Now I have 7 Lee Oskar Tombo harps. They are bullet proof! I don't play enough to reward myself with a $300 12 hole, but they sound a lot better than Hohner did when I ditched them.
Beautiful Harp!
Bob C. on 2020-06-04 Nice to look at, and it sounds GREAT. Thanks.

fast and efficient
Rebecca B. on 2019-11-18 very happy
Low E is highly recommended.
james p. on 2019-10-16 The Low register diatonic harmonicas offer some rich tones, and the Lee Oskar are tops for performance in my experience. If you haven't tried Lee Oskar harmonica, and you haven't tried the Low register harmonicas, you are mission out. The Low register harmonica allows you to reach the middle notes of the regular diatonic as well as give you some rich lower tones that should not be missed. Try one, and then, like me you will probably buy more..
HAPPY
JEFF C. on 2019-10-14 Very Happy with both Lee Oskar harmonicas. Have no music aptitude but after watching some videos I can entertain myself with these harmonicas. Jeff
Lee Oskar Harmonicas are great
james p. on 2019-10-11 I have purchased several Lee Oakar harmonicas. All have played perfectly when I got them and they sound great too. I highly recommend them. The Low D, as well as the Low C, the Low E, and the Low F harmonicas are not to be missed. If you don't have a low register harmonica, just try one and you'll be hooked.
Nice harp
John D. on 2019-09-27 Sounds good.. Appreciate the engineering.

Robert H. on 2019-01-04 i have received the Harmonica in the key of c and i will try it for a while but the notes do not sound quit right.. maybe i;m no totally correct i have not been playing all that long.. the one i have been playing is a 24 note doubled ,i believe it is called a vibrato and of course they do sound a little different sincerely Robert hatch

LEE OSKAR Diatonic
Robert B. on 2017-10-29 1st time using Lee Oskar. Long time Hohner user. Although the Lee Oskar is similar to Hohner's Special 20, I find it's tone much better and its bending easier. Harmonicaland always ships fast. The "slow" shipping included for free is not slow by any means. 3 maybe 4 business days tops.
