1847 NOBLE Seydel

Beautiful Harmonica! This is my second Seydel and Noble. I have another one in regular D.
They have a weight to them compared to other diatonic harmonicas and a tone that seems to cut through, at least that\'s what myself and a former bandmate noticed when I brought the regular D to band practice a year or two ago.
This new Db sounds and feels the same, there seems to be a nice sustain. I haven\'t played these a lot because they are more expensive and I want them to last but I noticed they are much heavier than my typical harmonica and feel very solid and durable. I\'ve ordered some replacement reed plates so I\'m more comfortable playing these with bands and at gigs going forward.

Works flawlessly, I have really enjoyed playing this to all my G fiddle tunes.

I like this harmonica. It is one of my out door harps. For the price it is a good purchase. It and the Special 20 are about the same. The Polar sounds great but appearance wise is not as refined as the zHohner

Want a great harmonica, get a Seydel 1847. I love and play all of my harmonicas, different brands, different keys. Switching from one of the others to the 1847 is like putting my Honda in the garage and taking my Porsche out for a spin. Smooth, and strong. I do not have a Honda or a Porsche either, but that is what the 1847 is like.

I have many harmonicas and many brands. I love them all and play them, but when I get tired of wrestling with the various issues. I pull out one of my 1847s and get a clear smooth sound.

The steel reeds are not as responsive as a Marine Band\'s brass reeds, but the sound is brighter, probably due to the aluminum comb.
The Seydel 1847 Noble is a wonderful piece of engineering.

I purchased this Seydel because is was the only High Ab I saw for sale at the time. I have noticed the decline in the quality of Lee Oskars over the decades. This won\'t be my last purchase of a Seydel. It is NIZE. I will eventually buy the 12 set offered on this site.

The A harp from the first order arrived a day early which was nice. However I need a status on order SOCTDOKZB. If delivery of the C reedplates will not be soon I will have to make other arrangements. No shipping notice has been issued as yet. Please respond ASAP!

I have become quite familiar with the low Noble 1847\'s - This will be my 3rd one. It\'s a joy to play.

I am well on my way to my 4th \"low\" harp. and after i type this the deed will be complete. I do like Seydel harps. I feel like for the Money they\'re perfect. I like to use HL because of the fast service and prompt service. Go git you one!!

This is my 2ND low tone harp. I loved my first one so much i thought that i would get another!!

Great Service/Fast Delivery

I favor this lower key and slower paced harp for relaxing contemplation feelings. The sound is really whole and full.

The reeds have a great low low frequency tone and the harmonics melt in your mouth.

Very good Seydel harmonica, sounds deep and powerful. I really like the look of it. Not so good for overblows I'd say this harmonica is intended for the blues player. Good quality from Seydel germany.

The harmonica has a full, warm tone and is easy to play, especially that notorious 2 draw. This is the first diatonic I've seen with half-valving over the first 6 draw holes. You may hear some snapping as the vales close over the reeds when you draw or blow. Most people probably won't notice this, though. Beware that valved instruments may require more maintenance than a standard diatonic.
