      Please be aware that, due to Hohner's recent packaging change, some keys may still be available in the previous packaging, depending on current stock levels.

      An upgraded and modern version of the Marine Band. With the help of harmonica customizer Joe Filisko, Hohner created a new model that is more powerful, easier to play, and cleaner than ever before.

      The Crossover Hohner covers feature a new design that helps project better; the bamboo comb delivers a warm, clear sound, and the new screws make disassembly a no-brainer.

      The Thunderbird offers low Keys and is sold under the name Thunderbird, but is really the same model.

      I now own a Hohner Rocket, a Special 20 and a Crossover. They are all excellent and play great. The sound in each one is unique to each model and all are very comfortable and extremely responsive. The Crossover sound is brighter than the other two and appears to be slightly more responsive. All are very easy to bend notes. It seems as if the vibrato sound is easiest on the Crossover; nevertheless, all models are absolutely excellent.

      I been playing harmonica on and off for the last twenty years. And Hohner Blues Harp has been my preferred go to. But I’ve owned several others, Golden Melody, Fender, 1847, Lee Oskar, a very expensive Arkia, and many others. But the best one I’ve played so far just came in the mail. The Hohner Crossover turned out to be what I was hoping for every time I bought a new harp! It’s like finding the guitar that just fits your hands perfectly, and plays up and down the neck like it was made for you! Great job on this one Hohner! Definitely worth the price!

      The Hohner Crossover is simply unmatched. Rich, powerful tone, always bang-on Richter tuning, overblows right out of the box, a slick wooden comb that feels exactly right, and shiny cover plates that say \"well hello there\" when you unbox this beauty.
      Would dock a star for paying ridiculous duty fees upon reception, but that\'s on the shop, not the product.

      The Crossover harmonica in A was clearly a top-end instrument with a very nice sound as billed. However, I\'m a big fan of Special 20s and have been so for several decades. I prefer the darker, richer tone of the Special 20. I thought it was important to try a Crossover since all the online reviews rave about it, but it was just too bright for me. I understand that some players like the brightness and like to be able to cut through the background music. Just wasn\'t for me.

      I haven\'t even opened this yet since it\'s a x-mas gift for my son. He asked for a harmonica in the key of C. I did much googling and video watching and this was a top recommendation. I know he will love it! He\'s teaching himself to play and has another in another key, but wanted this one. This was a great price and arrived very quickly!       The second hole draw is extremely rattly , which I had to take it in to be fixed otherwise bends like a beauty, extremely versatile in sound from low to high. And build is superb, I have yet to have it pull any mustache hairs out .

      I?m very pleased with my new harp. The web sight was user friendly and delivery was pretty good. I was concerned with the USPS packaging though. The package was a bubble wrap envelope and did not appear too sturdy but my harp made the trip undamaged. My next order on the other hand didn?t make it so well. (I?ll elaborate in my next review)

      The case on a harmonica was not up to par. The key identification sticker was not centered on the ring and the zipper tab was missing. Harp itself was fine though 5th Reed a bit flat. I have 2 other crossovers that are acceptable for the price.

      It took me a while to get used to the beveled edges on the comb but now I appreciate the lack of sharp edges that characterize the standard Marine Band, which has long been my go to harp. I also appreciate the screws as opposed to the nails holding the cover plates. They make it easier to get in and out for cleaning and or adjustments. If you're serious about playing an instrument the first place to invest your hard earned cash is in your instrument. This is a quality instrument well worth the price.

      The Crossover harps are the best diatonics I have ever played in my 52 years of playing. I will continue to replace my lower pitched diatonics with Crossovers. However, because they have a very bright sound I will still stick with Special 20s for the upper pitches. I hav e played Special 20s almost excllusively for many years but the Crossovers are a very welcom addition to my harp case.

      I was looking for a little bit better, and "longer lasting" harmonica that wouldn't break the bank and I found it all with this purchase. and free shipping to boot! But the main thing, it sounds too good to be true! Just real warm, clear lower end tone, nice resonant midtones, and crisp tones from the high end.
