Harmo Polar Harmonica

I\'ve always had trouble with the F key. Low F is much better for me. The Polar really sounds good.

I liked my Key of G Harmo so much I purchased this Key of C. Was not disappointed.

Received the harmonica in the mail just a few days after I ordered it. Ordered it with the intent of having a relatively inexpensive backup G-harmonica in case something were to happen to my Hohner Special 20. Now I must concede (for now at least) I like this brand better. I have found it easier to blow/draw with, and easier to bend notes with, than with the Special 20.

These are good harmonica that sounds good and the price is right. I have many Polars in different tunings and have no complaints.

Played a bit when i was a kid. My buddy and i would \'borrow\' a bottle of wine and some smokes if we could get any from our parents. Sneak out at night and play our harmonicas. Good times! Got caught up with life and stowed the harp away. Hit me the other day while listening to some blues, I gotta get another harp! went to your website ,looked at your recommendations and settled on the polar. And I\'m not disappointed. thanks, you guys

Nice harmonica at a decent price.

The Polar was not a favorite in the beginning. It is now. My Special 20s are not keeping up.

This is my first G harmonica, all these years only playing C. Now that I’m retired my new goal is to learn to be a better player and explore more with the other keys.

I have started to play around with my new Polar C. I ordered a key of G can’t wait to see the difference. Somewhat different than I have played in the past, but again it’s been many many years since I have played the harmonica and it’s going to be a learning curve for sure. Hopefully I can learn new stuff. Just playing around actually, just personal enjoyment, certainly not for anyone else to hear for sure.

For the price this harmonica is worth it.

Not sure the Harmo Polar would ultimately replace my Hohner Special 20 as my go-to harmonica, but it sure does play nicely. Initially had issues playing the 9 and 10 holes, and my initial attempts at overblows produced squeaks, but after playing it a little while I no longer have problems with holes 9 & 10 and my overblow results have improved.

I love the high quality construction and design. It is a very cool instrument!

I like the sound and appearance of this harp. The notes are easy to play distinctly, one at a time, and the tone is clear and loud. Nice case, and nice white color.

When new, these are actually great harmonicas. They play easily, they're loud, they have a nice, bright sound, and they\'re relatively inexpensive. That's why I buy them and use them for most of my practice playing.  Since they have screws they are easy to clean. The main issue I have with the Harmo Polars is that I have a Seydel magnetic harmonica holder that will not work with these. To get around this, I open the bottom cover and attach a magnet inside it so that it will stick to the holder. That works, but needless to say, with that matte cover on the Harmo Polars, these harmonicas with the magnet inside do not stick as tightly as harmonicas that actually have metal covers.

I love the feel and it sounds great. I thought it odd that there were no hold numbering and the 10 hole is difficult to now. But overall I like it.

I wanted an inexpensive practice harmonica that would be easy on the lips, and this was a
good choice.

I got this harp to try out. I love it!. Good feel of the instrument in my hands, easy to play, good tone. I like everything about this harp so far.

The holes are not numbered, I\'ve never seen that on a harp before, plays as well as,if not better than my (2) Hohners.

I consider myself to be an intermediate beginner,so I am not an expert (on any subject.) That being said ,here's my review on the Harmo Polar. The holes are not numbered ( first time I've seen this on a harmonica) so I wouldn't recommend it to a brand new beginner. The upper and lower plates are not metallic so it won't work with a neck holder that uses a magnet(like Farmers sells.) The white color takes a bit of getting use to. I own a a Hohner Blues Harp and a Rocket. I would say it plays as well as,if not slightly better than those two. I do not regret my purchase. Harmoica Land shipped it super fast which I appreciated.

Sounds great. Easy bends and loud. My first plastic comb & case I was a little concerned about the sound but that seems to be a non issue. In the past I had a couple Hohners where the comb swelled and warped. Rode hard and put away wet. Shouldn\'t be as much of an issue with this (I hope!)

For the money, this is an excellent harp. Pretty Tight and Good tone.

I made an error in ordering it ,however, as I should have ordered the lower octave F#.

I\'m really kicking myself, because had a very helpful online chat with one of your reps months ago, who made the recommendation to get the lower octave. But when it came to ordering it, I forgot the conversation. Oh well, I\'ll just have to order another Harmo.- John

I like this model best out of 3 (special 20, Lee Oskar). It has a very good weight and feels smooth. reeds respond better than Hohners

THis harmonica has been a very nice discovery I'm used to Hohner and they are a bit more comfortable to play but mostly the reeds seems more powerful and easier to bend!

Great service and price from Harmonica Land. I really love these Harmo Polar diatonic harps! I am a beginner who sings in a cover band and plays harmonica on a few songs, and making a commitment to learn the instrument further, so I wanted to upgrade from a cheap 12-harp set I bought from Germany. I have several Fender Deluxe Blues, Hohner Golden Melody, and even recently tried the Lee Oskar. In my beginner\'s opinion, the Harmo Polars blow them away. Great full, loud sound and very easy to bend and express with them. It appears the holes are bigger, which also helps me isolate the single notes. So far I have the Polars in C and A, getting more soon. I do feel like the Fenders are a good cheap backup for spares. I have not tried the Hohner Special 20\'s....wanted too but really impressed with the Harmo Polars, and don\'t think I can improve upon them. Love my new harps and great price from Harmonicaland! ..Glenn F.

I finally got around to actually playing the HARMO POLAR HARMONICA - KEY : G that I purchased on a whim a few months ago. I have been playing Lee Oskars for the last 35 years. Recently, I am working on a couple of Mark Ford tunes which require quick response and blow and draw 'bendablility'. So I broke out the Polar and have been very pleased. It's tight, fast, got great tone, and the overblow is awesome.

I bought a Bluesband harp out of curiosity to try it and see how I would like playing. It did it?s job but for a beginner it made you work for it. Tough on the mouth, difficult to get a good tone out of notes not knowing what they should really sound like being new to playing. I read about Harmo harps and ordered the Polar to give it a shot. What difference! With the smooth finish and tapered corners it?s easy to play/practice for hours if needed and even though new to this, hit good clean notes and hear your own progress. It builds confidence and makes you want to learn how to do more with your instrument.?

I apologize for the late reply. Thank you for this harmonica. I?m just a novice and this harmo polar is the second harmonica that I purchased from you. The first was a Christmas present to myself - a hohner crossover. As a beginner, I don?t have experience to know the differences but before I received the harmo, I was a little turned off by the crossover because sometimes I had problems blowing or drawing, especially in holes 1-3. I wasn?t sure if I wanted to purchase another harmonica but after a few months, the sting of my first investment wore off and so I thought to get another but this time something that would be a little easier on the budget. It turned out that the harmo was a great purchase. It was a little more responsive compared to my crossover and something that I can practice with on my journey to become a harmonica player.

The Harmo polar does not have numbers on it making hard for an 84-year-old beginner. The covers are very smooth and the sound is loud! I'm enjoying the harp.

I have numerous brands of harmonicas, but the Harmo Polars are the ones I use most often. Easy to blow and draw the low and high numbers. 1-2-3 & 8-9-10)

These polar harmonicas are my favorite. If you're into Blues you know how hard the 1, 2 & 3 - 8-9-10 notes are to blow individually, especially by someone who is not an experienced player. I've found the Polars (any key) are the easiest for me to play.

I have now purchased two Harmo Polar harmonicas in keys C & A. I find both harmonicas to be very comfortable and responsive. However, the paint on both harmonicas comes off on your hands while playing. Stop painting the harmonica if it will come off. Some buyers won't give you a second chance.

The Polar harmonica harmonica is very comfortable with very good tone. It is airtight and easy to blow and bend.

Never heard of this brand and decided to give it a shot. I love it. Two songs that I battle solos with our fiddle player. I totally going to get more keys and try the other one they sell.

Loud and clear. Use it for my acoustic duo all the time, sounds pure and is easy to bend + everybody asks me what it is.

Bought it for the look, those white covers are really cool ! I was surprised how loud this harmonica is beats my Hohners and is super easy to play.

It's my habit to take them apart, run a very thin metal blade along each side of each reed and then reassemble the harmonicas, being sure to tighten every screw. In some cases, I replace cheap screws with better ones from a stock of same I keep handy. With the Harmo-Polars, I was so reassured by the trueness of the reeds during visual inspection that I did not fully disassemble. Instead, I just checked the plate screws and found them to all already be tight. The cover screws got an extra quarter turn each, but these really could have been played right out of the box. They are excellent for solo harmonica/vocal work, both because the phosphor reeds ring out for just long enough to keep the music going until I start singing. In ensemble playing, I find that they help with my solos, because the instruments are heavy and responsive and talk back to the player the way all really good instruments do, givin

This is the easiest harmonica to play I have owned. The low notes have always been challenging but not with this one. I can get a clear blow-draw on 1,2,3 and 8,9,10. Overall pure tones, and an easy blow. I have fourteen harmonica's, but none of them are as easy as this Polar.
