The SYMPHONY 48 - with the newly developed Magnetic Slider System - plays and feels like a dream.
Seydel rethought the 12-hole chromatic from the ground up. Many innovative ideas were incorporated into this contemporary musical instrument.
Discover the newly developed springless slider system: the traditional slider spring mechanism has been replaced with an ingenious magnetic system that uses two repelling magnets for an extra-smooth, low-friction, fast, and accurate slider action.
Enjoy the pure harmonica sound with an unmatched clarity and sonority: for the first time, polished stainless steel reeds have been implemented - these are more durable, plus they create a new sound experience.
Playability taken to a higher level: an extremely airtight mouthpiece construction, combined with recessed reed plates on a solid aluminium comb and the newly developed polished reeds, makes the tone perfectly controllable.
Warm tone and even sound distribution: the injection-molded aluminium coverplates, with their specially coated, even surfaces, are slightly curved and open wide at the back for the best sound projection towards the audience.

This harp plays great right out of the box. It might seem like a lot of money but you are getting a really quality product at what turns out to be a reasonable price. Go ahead and pop for it. You’ll be thrilled. I know I am. Harmonicaland was a hassle free no problem way to buy this great harp.

This harmonica is a phenomenal instrument, a joy to play.
The build quality is great and feels really solid. Very comfortable in the hand, with nicely rounded corners and edges. The shape of the covers make it project sound really good and the covers are perfectly shaped to fit your hand. To me, the rounded mouth piece feels the most comfortable to play because of its shape and also because its screws go through the back (even, smooth surface). The magnetic slider feels great too, smooth and nicely rounded too. Great design all around.
The sound is great, super easy to modulate volume and the response is very sharp. I have been playing with the Seydel Saxony the last few years (in orchestra as well, another great one), and the Symphony sounds warmer and nicer, with the lower end sounding deeper and richer. Very airtight, I\'ve been playing it daily and find the valves on it to be better than on any other harmonica I\'ve used at not sticking at all.
You do have to be more careful with harmonica when working/cleaning this harmonica with any metal tools. Because the slider is magnetic and quite strong, if you\'re not careful and place any tools near the harp, they get pulled to the slide pretty easily and sharp ends could scratch it. Just something to keep in mind when doing maintenance on this one.

This is s really nice harp.
The magnet slide is smooth like glass.
Being able to dissemble it with only 4 screws is quick and convenient.
Love the low \"G\" on the orchestra tunning.
Harmonicaland has outstanding customer service. A small problem was taken care of very quickly.

This was a gift for my husband. He loves everything about it - the look, the feel, the sound. He's extremely happy with it including the magnetic slider. It's just wonderful!
