We at SEYDELs rethought the 12-hole chromatic from scratch. Many innovative ideas made their way into this contemporary musical instrument.
Discover the newly developed springless slider system: We replaced the traditional slider spring mechanism by an ingenious magnetic system where two repelling magnets serve for an extra smooth, low friction, fast and accurate slider action.
Enjoy the pure harmonica sound with an unmatched clarity and sonority: for the first time we implemented polished stainless steel reeds - these are more durable plus they create a new sound experience.
Playability taken to a higher level: extremely airtight mouthpiece construction as well as recessed reedplates on a solid aluminium comb combined with the newly developed polished reeds make the tone perfectly controllable.
Warm tone and even sound distribution: the injection molded aluminium coverplates with their specially coated even surfaces are slightly curved and opened wide at the back for the best sound projection towards the audience.
Perfection in all details:
- low maintenance technology: no broken springs thanks to the Magnet Slider System (patent-pending )
- the springless slider offers a super-smooth low friction slider action
- silver coated mouthpiece, half-moon shaped and srcewed from the back of the instrument
- easy cleaning of the slider: it releases by opening one screw only
- specially coated injection molded aluminium coverplates: for an extra warm tone and the perfect sound projection
- CNC precision milled aluminium comb, black anodized: well ballanced and solid
- anti-corrosive German silver reedplates screwed onto the comb individually
- anti-corrosive polished stainless steel reeds, screws, rivets and polished reeds for improved durability
- optimized tolerances between reeds and reedslots for a fast tonal response as well as less air-consumption
- special SEYDEL valve material: less adhesive than conventional valves - for stress-free playing

Great harp with no problem purchase and delivery

This harp plays great right out of the box. It might seem like a lot of money but you are getting a really quality product at what turns out to be a reasonable price. Go ahead and pop for it. You’ll be thrilled. I know I am. Harmonicaland was a hassle free no problem way to buy this great harp.

This harmonica is a phenomenal instrument, a joy to play.
The build quality is great and feels really solid. Very comfortable in the hand, with nicely rounded corners and edges. The shape of the covers make it project sound really good and the covers are perfectly shaped to fit your hand. To me, the rounded mouth piece feels the most comfortable to play because of its shape and also because its screws go through the back (even, smooth surface). The magnetic slider feels great too, smooth and nicely rounded too. Great design all around.
The sound is great, super easy to modulate volume and the response is very sharp. I have been playing with the Seydel Saxony the last few years (in orchestra as well, another great one), and the Symphony sounds warmer and nicer, with the lower end sounding deeper and richer. Very airtight, I\'ve been playing it daily and find the valves on it to be better than on any other harmonica I\'ve used at not sticking at all.
You do have to be more careful with harmonica when working/cleaning this harmonica with any metal tools. Because the slider is magnetic and quite strong, if you\'re not careful and place any tools near the harp, they get pulled to the slide pretty easily and sharp ends could scratch it. Just something to keep in mind when doing maintenance on this one.
Great harmonica, with a solid case as well, and Seydel is a phenomenal company that really stands behind their products. Highly recommend this harmonica, super fun to play!
